Metro Ends Paper Transfers
According to the Metro Web site, paper transfers will no longer be available for Metro riders starting today. Additionally, only SmarTrip® card users will be able to transfer free from one bus to another. At the same time, Metrobus riders will receive a bus-to-rail discount if they transfer using a SmartTrip® card. That discount will reduce Metrorail fares by 50¢.
