Third Church of Christ, Scientist
Located on the northwest corner of 16th and I Streets, NW, and only two blocks north of the White House, is the Third Church of Christ, Scientist.
Whether you think it is an eyesore — some refer to it as a bunker — or find it oddly attractive, you can not deny that it commands notice.
Built in 1971 of poured concrete, it is an outstanding example of Brutalist architecture.
