February 23, 1926: Women jurors in the District were approved by the citizens advisory council. A bill pending before the House District committee to amend the code to provide that there should be no restriction to service as jurors or as members of the jury commission based on sex was brought before the council in a letter from Mrs. Jennie O. Berliner, a member of the Women’s Bar association, with a request for prompt action.
