Dinner at the Duplex

duplex-dinerA spot I like for comfort food when it comes to dinner, and I want to be low key, is the Duplex Diner on 18th & U.

I think calling it a diner is a little misleading … I mean, how many diners don’t open until 6 p.m. and have a well stocked bar? That said, if you have a hankering for mac & cheese, pork chops, or meatloaf  this is about as good as you’re going to get in the City. If you’re in the mood for a salad or sandwich, you can go that route too.
