Both Metro Exits @ Georgia Ave/Petworth Now Open

You know, I thought I noticed this last week, but it didn’t sink in until the weekend that the West entrance to the Georgia Ave./Petworth Metro station is now open. Yep, that’s right. Next time the East escalators aren’t operating, you can now catch the escalators on the other side of the street.

I don’t mean to sound lazy, but after standing on the train for the entire ride, sometimes I like to have a little help when I walk up the stairs.

Perhaps more significantly, it is a further sign that the condos/apartments that they are building on top of them are nearing completion, as the area is now safe enough for pedestrians to use.
