Park View History Part of D.C. Historical Studies Conference This Year

3654-park-placeI found out earlier this week that a proposal I’d sent to present a paper at the 2009 Conference on Washington, D.C., Historical Studies has been accepted. I’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available on the conference, which will be held on November 13th and 14th at the Charles Sumner School.

The paper I proposed will examine and document the development of Washington during the housing boom of the early twentieth century focusing primarily on the 330+ homes that Kennedy Bros., Inc., developed in Princeton Heights, a subdivision of the Park View neighborhood, starting ca. 1910.
