Lessions Learned in the Old Executive Office Building

The D.C. fire department was called to the Old Executive Office Building yesterday afternoon in response to reports of smoke. They discovered that someone attempted to light a fire in a fireplace and some sort of obstruction in the chimney, probably on the fourth or fifth floor, caused smoke to back up on the fourth floor. As anyone moving into an old building should know, its always best to have fireplaces and chimneys inspected prior to use. I guess the new kids at the OEOB have learned that lesson now.
