Visitor Parking Pass Trial

visitor-parking-passI thought this was worth noting. According to a DDOT news release last Friday, they have initiated a pilot program in Mt. Pleasant to give residents easier access to visitor parking. Each resident with a valid parking permit has been mailed a visitor parking pass valid until March 31, 2010.

The pass works just like the pass residents get at their local precinct, except that they don’t have to physically go in and ask for it each time they have a visitor needing to park on the street for more than 2 hours.

I can’t imagine this wont be a hit, and eagerly await a positive outcome of the trial, and hope that expansion to the rest of the city will swiftly follow.
