This image must be an anti war message, but I’m stumped as to what the literal message is. Anyone want to give it a try? I found this on the northeast corner of Georgia Avenue and Quincy, NW.Rose grenade

From the looks of things, the 11th Street Deli renovations, at 3234 11th Street, NW, seem to be progressing well. According to the permit, the completed project will have 15 seats inside and a summer garden that will have a maximum capacity of 38. It looks like its going to be nice.11 Street Deli Renovation

Today’s Post reports that after five years, 43 bars, and 48 events, the roving bar gathering known at Guerilla Queer Bar ended last Friday at the Rhino Bar and Pumphouse. Guerilla has been the friendliest of activist movements, in which gay men and lesbians descended on a typically “straight” bar for the evening and mingle among the regulars.

I think as we reflect back, its been a positive event. It has introduced both members of the GLBT and straight community to each other, people that otherwise would never meet. While its easy to focus on peoples’ differences, the visibility has also put the spotlight on their many similarities.
