This Date in History

April 10, 1903: A robbery of large proportions occurred in the morning which was only reported to the police late in the afternoon placing them at a great disadvantage in apprehending the perpetrators. The theft amounted to $1,465, $1,215 in cash and $250 in jewelry. The victim was Michael Esch, a florist, at New York and Florida Avenues.
