Economy Leads to Parking Crackdown

parking-ticketIf you live in a part of the city where street cleaning regularly occurs, and you’ve avoided tickets for failure to move you’re vehicle for the sweeper until now, things are going to change.

As reported by WJLA, the D.C. Council has decided to crack down on parking violations hoping it will help fill the budget gap this year.  The City will outfit 12 street sweepers with cameras, ensuring that those that don’t move their cars will be hit with parking tickets for failing to do so.

Catching illegally parked cars will now be 100% of the time, and at $40 a ticket, revenue may add up quickly.
