Boston in DC: Bunker Hill

Wayan Vota provides the following image and writes: Fort Bunker Hill was one of the Civil War forts protecting the exposed National Capitol. Its sixteen guns secured passage between Fort Totten and Fort Washington.

Now our Bunker Hill looks a little different than the one in Boston. Boston in DC: Bunker Hill
Wayan is absolutely correct to make the connection between Boston and DC. According to the National Park Service, Fort Bunker Hill was built in the fall of 1861 by the 11th Massachusetts Infantry and was named after the Revolutionary fortification at Bunker Hill, Massachusetts.
