Wait Wait Coming to Lisner

Being a big fan of “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me,” the radio news quiz show from NPR, I was excited to learn that a live show will be recorded at George Washington University’s Lisner Auditorium on Thursday, May 14th at 7:30pm. You can find out more here>>

The Circus is Coming to Town

If you’re looking for something to do with the kids, or just want to relive some childhood memories, you might want to go to the Circus. The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is coming to town. With performances starting on the 18th at 10:30 am and running through Sunday, March 22nd, there should be a time that works for everyone.

The much anticipated elephant parade will wind through Capitol Hill tomorrow, starting at 10 a.m. For information on the parade route, go to the map on DCist.

Etta James Now Claims Humor Defense

Last week, 71-year-old singer Etta James was caught on tape stating that she can’t stand Beyoncé. In particular, Ms. James was furious that Beyoncé had sung “her song” At Last at the inaugural ball for President Obama. Now, after being publicly caught being ugly,  stating that she would “whip” Beyoncé for singing that song, Etta is using the humor defense. She claims it was all a joke. So what was it. Deuling Divas, hurt feelings, or just so much hot air?
